In 2024, there are more ways than ever to stream sound to your MED-EL audio processor. We’ve got AudioStream, the AudioStream Adapter, and AudioLink for our cochlear implant users, and SAMBA 2 GO for BONEBRIDGE and VIBRANT SOUNDBRIDGE recipients. But with so many choices, it can sometimes be tricky knowing which one to go for. With that in mind, we’ve put together a guide to the best streaming options for everything from hearing aids to phone calls.

Cochlear implants have come a long way since they were introduced in the 1970s. Some of the most notable advancements of the last few years have had to do with how the audio processor, well, processes sound: technologies like Wind Noise Reduction, for example. That wording sounds great, doesn’t it? “Noise Reduction.” But what is the noise, and how does it reduce it?

Once your child has their cochlear implant and can hear their own voice, they will begin to play with making their first sounds. This is the perfect time to encourage your child to learn and make new sounds, which will lead to making their first words!
