Hosted by MED-EL, a global leader in hearing implant technology, this regional talent competition brought together champions from seven countries—Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, and Mongolia—after each had first triumphed in their respective national selections.

With their refined talents, the participants were ready to take the stage and prove their abilities before the audience and judges. Every detail was carefully prepared to ensure their best performance. One by one, they stepped onto the stage with confidence, as if declaring, “We are capable of overcoming limitations.”

Here are the ten inspiring participants who brought life and energy to the very first MED-EL hearLIFE SEA Superstar.

• Indonesia: Emily, with her graceful charm, touched hearts through a moving piano performance, while Zahwa sparkled on stage with a radiant dance that captivated the audience.
• Singapore: Arabelle charmed the audience with her lively personality and captivating dance, while Avlynn wowed the crowd with an energetic and highly attractive wushu performance using her staff.
• Malaysia: Venessa lit up the stage with her energetic dance, while Muaz moved the audience to tears with a heartfelt speech full of emotion and resilience.
• Thailand: Punika amazed audiences with her precise and emotional piano piece.
• Vietnam: Didh Long touched hearts with a soulful folk song.
• South Korea: Seong Bin brought elegance through his mastery of the cello.
• Mongolia: Anuka performed a breathtaking traditional Mongolian dance.

Anuka from Mongolia was crowned MED-EL hearLIFE SEA Superstar 2025, her performance praised for cultural authenticity, technical mastery, and emotional depth. The judges—Mr. Adrian, Ms. Donna, and Dr. Eka—noted her remarkable ability to stay in perfect sync with rhythm, despite the challenges she once faced with hearing.

At the end of the event, Anuka shared her feelings during an interview. She expressed deep gratitude, saying how truly happy and thankful she was for the opportunity given by MED-EL hearLIFE Superstar to perform on such a stage. With her warm smile, Anuka also extended her thanks to everyone who had supported her throughout the journey. She joyfully posed for photos with her team of supporters, capturing a moment of celebration and pride that will be remembered for years to come.

By her messeges to the committee, parents shared how meaningful the event was for them as well. “I am grateful that Zahwa had this wonderful experience,” said Ibu Diah, mother of the Indonesian participant. “Even without winning, she has become braver and more confident. For me, that is already a victory.”
