Hoe richt u uw huis het beste in als u een gehoorimplantaat heeft?<\/h2>\n

Thuis is een plek van ontspanning, veiligheid, liefde en lekker eten, waar dagelijks veel communicatie plaats vindt. Voor een slechthorende of iemand met een gehoorimplantaat is het soms een lastige plek om te horen. Een woonkamer met een hoog plafond en harde vloer veroorzaakt bijvoorbeeld veel echo, wat horen moeilijker maakt. U mist sneller belangrijke waarschuwingsgeluiden zoals het piepen van de oven of het brandalarm.<\/p>\n

In dit blog geven we acht tips om uw gehoor en veiligheid in huis te verbeteren.<\/p>\n

1. Rookalarmen en\/of huisbeveiligingssystemen<\/h3>\n

Installeer rookalarmen en\/of een huisbeveiligingssysteem met knipperlichten zodat u bij een noodgeval een waarschuwing krijgt. Dit is cruciaal voor wanneer u uw audioprocessoren niet draagt, bijvoorbeeld wanneer u slaapt.<\/p>\n

2 Telefoonsysteem<\/h3>\n

Laat een geschikt telefoonsysteem installeren. In Nederland biedt KPN bijvoorbeeld Teletolk, een systeem met tekst en beeld. Vraag uw audioloog naar de mogelijkheden.<\/p>\n

3. Deurbel<\/h3>\n

Als u slechthorend bent, hoort u de bel niet altijd. Overweeg daarom een glazen- of glas in lood deur te laten installeren, zodat u uw bezoekers duidelijk ziet staan. Dit werkt beter dan een kijkgat, waardoor u niet altijd vol zicht hebt. U kunt ook buiten beveiligingscamera\u2019s ophangen zodat u ziet wanneer iemand voor de deur staat.<\/p>\n

4. Keuken<\/h3>\n

De keuken is vaak een drukke plaats in huis waar veel gesprekken plaatsvinden. Overweeg een \u2018open keuken\u2019 met een eiland in het midden, zodat u de ander goed kunt aankijken en ze duidelijk kunt horen.<\/p>\n

5. Geluid dempen<\/h3>\n

Gebruik tapijten, kleedjes en andere stoffen versiering, zoals gordijnen. Niet alleen ziet het er leuk uit, maar het vermindert ook het echo\u00ebn in huis.<\/p>\n

6. Verlichting<\/h3>\n

Op een drukke familiebijeenkomst waar veel mensen tegelijk praten, ben je soms afhankelijk van liplezen om het gesprek te kunnen volgen. Zorg dat u goede verlichting in huis heeft, zodat u de ander duidelijk ziet als u met elkaar praat.<\/p>\n

7. Ringleidingsysteem<\/h3>\n

Overweeg een ringleidingsysteem te laten installeren in kamers waar de familie samenkomt om tv te kijken en spelletjes te spelen. Hiermee streamt het geluid direct naar uw audioprocessoren, zodat u het volume niet heel hard hoeft te zetten.<\/p>\n

8. Bewaarplek<\/h3>\n

Maak een speciale ruimte waar u al uw gehoortechnologie bewaart, zodat u de kleine onderdelen niet snel verliest. Sla een reservevoorraad in met bijvoorbeeld reservekabels en batterijen, en leg ze op een plaats die makkelijk te vinden is. U kunt ook uw droogsysteem en oplaadmateriaal op \u00e9\u00e9n plek leggen.<\/p>\n
