Esteban fue diagnosticado con hipoacusia cuando ten\u00eda un a\u00f1o de edad, luego de que su familia detectara que no respond\u00eda a los est\u00edmulos auditivos. Al ser un beb\u00e9 prematuro, la vista y el o\u00eddo de Esteban se vieron afectados. Por esta raz\u00f3n, tuvo que usar aud\u00edfonos en su ni\u00f1ez, que aunque le ayudaban a distinguir algunos sonidos, eran sonidos &#8220;muy planos&#8221; como los describe Esteban y depend\u00eda mucho de la lectura labial.<\/p>\n<p>A los 23 a\u00f1os, Esteban tuvo la oportunidad de recibir un Implante Coclear, lo que fue un gran cambio para su vida.\u00a0 A partir de ese momento pudo disfrutar de muchos sonidos que hasta ahora no conoc\u00eda y terminar una carrera universitaria con mucha m\u00e1s confianza. Actualmente, Esteban trabaja en una empresa de soluciones auditivas y es chef.
